Playhouse Speech Therapy accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and private pay at this time. If you are choosing private pay, we can provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

1. Do you accept insurance?
We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and private pay at this time. However, we can provide superbills if you decide on private pay so that you can submit it to insurance for possible reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service. See above for accepted forms of payment.
2. Is an evaluation required to start speech therapy?
An evaluation is needed unless your child has received a comprehensive evaluation from a speech language pathologist within the last 6 months.
3. Do I need a doctor's referral to start speech therapy?​
No, a doctor's referral is not necessary in order to start speech therapy. However, please check with your insurance provider to see if it is necessary for reimbursement if you are submitting a superbill.
4. How long are sessions typically?​
Individual session frequency and length are determined based on what is appropriate for each child. However, sessions can be 30 to 45 minutes in length, possibly once or twice a week. Group programs are usually 60 minutes in length and usually have 6 sessions.
5. What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in an insurance plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage, a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges, both orally and in writing or upon request or at the time of scheduling health care services.
